I have photographed 246 hummingbird species over the last decade, about 67 percent of all known species. Now I am focused on the most critical mission: documenting the final 23 hummingbird species on the IUCN Red List that are critically endangered, endangered, vulnerable, or near threatened. Many of these hummingbirds live in remote, hard-to-access locations across the Americas. This is where your support makes a direct and measurable difference.

For more than ten years, I have poured my life savings into this work as an independent photographer and conservation advocate. I am not backed by a nonprofit. These expeditions have been my life’s passion, chasing beauty and urgency from Mexico’s cloud forests to Brazil’s Amazon lowlands, from Chile’s Atacama deserts to Colombia’s high Andes and Argentina’s remote Patagonian valleys. Each expedition has revealed both beauty and urgency. Species most people will never see except through my lens.
